The New Spirit (RKO, 1942). Very Fine on Linen. One Sheet (27.25" X 41").
Walt Disney's Donald Duck stars in this World War II era animated documentary about the timely filing and payment of Federal income taxes. Initially, the US Secretary of the Treasury rejected the idea of using the cartoon icon, but Walt Disney convinced him that it would be far more entertaining. Early Donald Duck posters have become some of the most collectible and sought after of the animation genre. Donald's charismatic grin lights up this one sheet that displays well after touchup to the folds, pinholes, slight creases, and small tears. A few of these issues are still visible, as is a faint dust shadow in the upper border.
