The New Spirit (RKO, 1942). One Sheet (27.5" X 41").
Donald Duck stars in this World War II era animated documentary about the timely filing and payment of Federal income taxes. Initially, the US Secretary of the Treasury rejected the idea of using the cartoon icon, but Walt Disney convinced him that it would be far more entertaining. Early Donald Duck posters have become some of the most collectible and sought after of the genre. Heritage has only offered one copy of this one sheet previously and this copy displays very well after professional restoration. The linen has been trimmed up to the border of the poster and not into the poster. Touchup to the folds. Very Fine+ on Linen.
