    Description

Swing Shift Cinderella (MGM, 1945). One Sheet (27" X 41").
This delightful and very rare poster is from the cartoon short by madcap genius "Tex" Avery. This is the second in a trilogy of cartoons featuring the Wolf chasing the sexy animated females Red Hot Riding Hood, Rural Red Riding Hood, and here, Swing Shift Cinderella. Tired of chasing Red Riding Hood (from the first cartoon), the Big Bad Wolf sets his sights on Cinderella. Enter her Fairy Godmother, who sends Cinderella to the ball and finds herself smitten with the Wolf. Avery started at Warner Brothers, directing some of the most manic of the early Bugs Bunny cartoons, then moved over to MGM to create such character as Droopy, Screwy Squirrel, and the outrageous characters featured in this short. This is the first time we have offered this rare poster, and it has been lightly restored. Signs of handling include pinholes in the corners, slight fold wear, a small chip in the right border, a small hole in the bottom left border. Fine/Very Fine on Linen.
