    Description

Mother Goose Goes Hollywood (RKO, 1938). One Sheet (27" X 41").
Disney studios enlisted all of the popular Hollywood stars of the day in this animated cartoon short, and portrayed them as characters from classic nursery rhymes. The film and its delightful one sheet (a Heritage first) features the likes of such greats as Laurel and Hardy as Simple Simon and the Pieman, W.C. Fields as Humpty Dumpty with Charlie McCarthy as his tormentor. The Marx Brothers appear as Old King Cole's Fiddlers Three and Katharine Hepburn as Little Bo Peep. Exceptionally rare, this poster has been professionally restored and now displays quite nicely. The borders have been airbrushed to address chips in the left and right border, small chips in all four corners, a chip in the bottom border that just extends into the background, a small hole and several tears in the top border (one of which extends into the "R" of "Mother"), and touchup has been applied to the folds. Fine+ on Linen.
