King-Size Canary (MGM, 1947). One Sheet (27" X 41").
This delightful short has all the Tex Avery trademark gags, coming at you so fast that you might miss a few in between bouts of side-splitting laughter. The quintessentially zany plot involves a starving cat who finds a tiny, sickly canary and a bottle of "Jumbo-Gro." Things go awry when the tables (and oversized canary) turn on the cat, and become even more hectic when a bulldog and a mouse join the super-sized fray. A rare poster to be sure, this cartoon classic one sheet has had touchup to the folds, a few staple holes, and a chip in the upper right border. The linen has been trimmed to the borders, but not into the poster itself, and the borders have been lightly airbrushed. Very Fine- on Linen.
