Jerry and the Lion (MGM, 1950). One Sheet (27" X 41").
Producers Hanna and Barbera enjoyed tremendous success with younger audiences with their creation of Tom and Jerry, the mischievous mouse and perpetually harried cat. This great stone litho poster features the duo's latest escapade, as a circus lion on the lam hides out in the house of Tom's owner. There has been some restoration efforts with touchup applied to pinholes in the borders and background, paper loss and tears in the borders and folds, a section of paper loss in the middle of the right border and image area, and touchup in the folds. There is faint writing bleedthrough and light stains and smudges still visible. The linen has been trimmed to the borders and post restoration wear includes tears in the borders, a diagonal crease in the upper left corner, a tear off of the right side paper loss, and the poster is separating from the masa paper in several places.
