Casper the Friendly Ghost Stock (Paramount, 1950). One Sheet (27" X 41").The world's most lovable ghost, Casper, was created in the late 1930s by Seymour Reit and Joe Oriolo who intended for the Friendly Ghost to be the star of a children's storybook. Publishers showed little interest, and Oriolo sold the rights to the book to Paramount Pictures Famous Studios animation division, for which he had occasionally worked. The first Noveltoon to feature Casper was released by Paramount in 1945 with Casper as a darling ghost-child with a New York accent who prefers befriending people instead of frightening them. This exceptionally scarce stock one sheet with beautiful color, is only one of two poster styles featuring Casper. In excellent condition, with only a small tear in the bottom vertical fold, a pinpoint cross fold separation, and a chip in the bottom left border. Fine/Very Fine.
