    Description

    The Sea Wolf (Warner Brothers, Late 1940s). First Post-War Release Italian Foglio (27" X 39.5").
    Based on Jack London's novel and directed by Michael Curtiz, this film stars Edward G. Robinson as Captain Wolf Larsen, a tyrannical leader who rules his ship, the "Ghost," with an iron fist, showing mercy to no one. Writer Humphrey Van Weyden (Alexander Knox) along with fugitive Ruth Brewster (Ida Lupino) and sailor George Leach (John Garfield) find themselves imprisoned aboard the doomed vessel and frantically search for a way to escape. The poster has been mounted on paper and only pinholes in top border are the only signs of handling. Dramatic images of the three stars by Luigi Martinati. Perhaps the best image created for this dramatic film! Very Fine- on Paper.
