The Last Days of Pompeii (United Artists, 1960). Half Sheet (22" X 28"). Adventure.
Starring Steve Reeves, Cristina Kauffman, Barbara Carroll, Anne Marie Baumann, Fernando Rey, Mimmo Palmara, Angel Aranda, Guillermo Marin. Directed by Mario Bonnard. An unrestored poster with bright color and a clean overall appearance. It may have general signs of use, such as slight edge wear, smudges in the borders, and light surface crinkles and creases. The artwork is by one of the most prolific artists that is still basically "unknown." His name is Ernest Chiriaka. He was an amazing pin-up artist who did everything from Esquire Calendars in the mid 1950s to pulp magazine covers (many under his pseudonym of 'Darcy', and of course, many film posters from the 1930's to the 1960s.
