    Description

The African Queen (United Artists, 1952). British Quad (30" X 40"). Humphrey Bogart as an aging alcoholic river boat captain and Katharine Hepburn as a patriotic spinster decide to cruise down an African river to attack a German destroyer during World War 1. Legendary director John Huston went on location to shoot this epic film that would go on to take the Oscar for Best Picture of the Year. This British quad is considered Country of Origin and is extremely rare. The art is by David Chalmers and shows minimal restoration with color touch to the fold lines with a bit more to the center-points. Very Fine on Linen.
