Rampage (Warner Bros., 1963).Very Fine on Board. Original French Poster Gouache Artwork on Illustration Board (19" X 25.5").
Rampage tells the story of a big game hunter (Jack Hawkins) and an animal trapper (Robert Mitchum) on a quest to locate and trap a rare panther for a zoo. Elsa Martinelli provides the love interest and also creates a love triangle set in the jungles of Malaysia. This painting, by an unknown French artist, shows light edge wear, small corner bumps, and some soft surface scuffs. The piece's photo inlays in the bottom right corner are beginning to detach from the board but could easily be repaired. As an interesting note, the image of Martinelli that was used on the printed poster is different from the one on this original art.
