    Captain Blood (Warner Brothers, 1935). One Sheet (27" X 41").
    Heritage is thrilled to present the exceedingly rare, much sought after Captain Blood first release one sheet for the very first time. Collectors can search for years and never have such a spectacular opportunity as this! Original paper for this film is already a scarce sight, but the especially elusive one sheet almost never surfaces for sale. Not only is Captain Blood considered to be one of the greatest swashbucklers ever made, but it is also the film that transformed Errol Flynn from an obscure Australian actor to a smash hit Hollywood sensation and the face of Warner Brothers' adventure films for the next decade. This poster displays beautifully, as excellent restoration has addressed pinholes in the borders and image area, fold wear with several chips along the folds, tears and small chips in the borders, a vertical tear in the right border, an extra horizontal fold across the upper image, and has applied touchup to Flynn's face for small chips and tears. There is a mild post-restoration stain in the lower left border. The poster has had its borders airbrushed and has undergone color enhancement for some color fading. The skilled restoration make this a fantastic gem set among any collection. Fine- on Linen.
