Beau Ideal (RKO, 1931). One Sheet (27" X 41").
In this "mighty" sequel to 1927's Beau Geste, Lester Vail joins the French Foreign Legion in order to locate his childhood friend (Ralph Forbes). The two are reunited in the Arabian desert and join forces to stave off a native rebellion. Vail eventually returns to England and his sweetheart (Loretta Young), but not before a close encounter with "The Angel of Death," a sultry seductress (Leni Stengel) who clearly has the soldier's attention on this spectacular one sheet. Well preserved with rich color, the piece shows only a dust shadow in the bottom left, a small tear in the left border, fold wear, and cross fold separation. Fine/Very Fine.
