The Phantom by Drew Struzan (Paramount, 1996). Very Fine+. Signed Original Mixed Media Concept Artwork on Illustration Board (22" X 30").
One of the top poster artists of modern movieland, Drew Struzan, lends his signature style to Simon Wincer's take on the pulp comic book hero from the 1930s. Excelling at various forms of portraiture, Struzan created excellent renderings of stars Billy Zane, Kristy Swanson, and Cary-Hirouki Tagawa. The illustration is done in bright acrylics and colored pencils, classic components of Struzan's work, and the piece has both been signed in the lower right and has the artist's official stamps on the verso. There is some slight edge wear, and the artwork also has some stains in the borders that may be from production. This Heritage first makes for a wonderful display piece perfect for Struzan fans, movie buffs, and comic collectors.
