The Sound of Music is still a standard bearer for the genre. The Todd-AO roadshow posters for this film are the most desirable, as they don't feature the five Academy Awards the movie would go on to receive, and they sport Howard Terpning's buoyant imagery of Maria and the von Trapps traipsing through Alpine fields... this poster is truly alive, to the sounds of Rogers and Hammerstein's iconic score! Touchup has been applied to the folds, some pinholes in the outer background, and a few minor tears in the edges. The imprint area was trimmed, and has been replaced. Fine+ on Linen.
