    Classic films don't come any better than this Academy Award winner by director Michael Curtiz, featuring great performances by stars Humphrey Bogart and Ingrid Bergman. An important component of moviemaking, set continuity photos ensure that audiences keep their attention on the action, rather than misplaced props. They were essential for reshot scenes and "hot" sets left overnight, making the process of resetting for multiple takes a far easier process. Some of the scenes found within the pages of this finely-bound album include interior shots of Rick's Cafe, the Blue Parrot, Rick's office, and the cafe in Paris, as well as exterior shots of the marketplace in Casablanca, the train station in Lyon, and the Palais de Justice. Joy Page and Helmut Dantine, playing the stranded couple Annina and Jan Brandel, make an appearance in one of the photos outside the Palais de Justice. Never before offered at Heritage, these photos are in fantastic shape, most showing a just few small pinholes in the corners or a couple of light creases. Several of the photos have notes and numbers written in pencil on the verso, used by the crew for filming purposes. The Lyon train station shot has grease pencil writing from production in the bottom border, extending slightly into the image. These photos have been set into a handsome hardcover photo album, made specifically for this set within the last thirty years, and are still removable from their holders. Each page houses two photos each on the front side, save for a single page with a vertical photo. This is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to own these historical artifacts from one of the greatest films ever made! Very Fine+.
