    Casablanca (Warner Brothers, 1942). One Sheet (27" X 41").
    Drama, danger, romance, Michael Curtiz's landmark film brought all of these winning elements to the screen with a masterful quality impossible to imitate, though many have tried. Nominated for a total of eight Academy Awards and winner of three, Casablanca's perfect storm of talented writing, keen direction, and all-star cast culminated into a film more than worthy of its Outstanding Picture status. From Humphrey Bogart's noir-esque portrayal of the jaded Rick Blaine, to Ingrid Bergman's heart wrenching Ilsa Lund, and the whole slew of noble and unsavory characters in between, Casablanca's powerful performances elevated Julius and Phillip Epstein's bittersweet tale into a piece of cinema legend. Always a popular item among collectors, and rightfully so, this one sheet looks fantastic after restoration to pinholes in the borders, a small chip in the lower right corner, and a very minor chip in the lower crossfold. Touchup has been applied to the folds. Very Fine on Linen.
