    Casablanca (Warner Brothers, 1940s). First Post-War Release Spanish One Sheet (27" X 39") MCP (Ramon Marti, Josep Clave, and Hernan Pico) Artwork.
    A classic that transcends genre, Michael Curtiz's wartime masterpiece has enjoyed praise and popularity in virtually every corner of the world. Making an astute move, Warners decided to promote the European release of their newest drama by spotlighting the illustrious Ingrid Bergman. She was a huge international icon, far more popular overseas than her costars Humphrey Bogart and Paul Henreid. Her classic image dominates this post-war release from Spain, with artwork credited to MCP (Ramon Marti, Josep Clave, and Hernan Pico). This lovely portrait looks wonderful after professional restoration addressed fold wear with chips and tears, with smaller chips and minor tears in the borders. The majority of the chipping was in the top horizontal fold. Fine on Linen.
