DescriptionA Day's Pleasure (First National, 1919). Folded, Very Fine. Swedish One Sheet (27.5" X 39.5") Eric Rohman Artwork.
Offered for the first time at Heritage is this extremely rare Swedish one sheet for Charlie Chaplin's fourth film for First National Pictures, A Day's Pleasure. The film, starring and directed by Chaplin, is a light comedy about a father (Chaplin) who gets into wacky situations when he takes his family out for a day trip. Jackie Coogan plays Chaplin's youngest son in the film, and Coogan would re-team with Chaplin as The Kid in 1921's The Kid. Posters of any kind are scarce for A Day's Pleasure, making this a rare opportunity to own this brightly colored stone litho poster. The poster has light edge and fold wear, small fold separations, minor creases, and a couple of extra vertical folds. There are also a few mild smudges, and there is a small strip of paper adhered to the verso with the film's title printed on it.
Estimate: $1,000 - $2,000.
