Vintage double weight, cream-toned bromide, matte still. Taken in the early years of her career, Carole Lombard is flawlessly seductive in this intimate portrait. Photographer Edwin Hesser had a studio based in New York and moved briefly to Hollywood to capture the new glamorous film stars. This sumptuous deckle-edged print has a minor corner chip in the lower left, and a small area of light foxing at the top left corner. Recto: Edwin Bower Hesser embossed blind stamp.
