Description

The Big Street (RKO, Late 1940s). First Post War Italian Locandina (13" X 27").
Lucille Ball gives a dramatic and gripping performance as the self-centered nightclub singer Gloria Lyons in this adaptation of Damon Runyon's short story. Henry Fonda is the lowly busboy Little Pinks who has fallen under Ball's spell and will do anything to please her, eventually becoming her slave when she is crippled by her gangster boss. Eugene Pallette and Agnes Moorehead co-star as Pinks' friends, the Nicely-Nicely Johnsons. This beautiful poster is from the first Italian release and prior to professional restoration had a small chip in two corners and one in the left border, a few small edge tears, and pinholes in the borders. It now displays beautifully and is a unique portrait of this beloved star. Fine+ on Linen.
