Be Yourself (United Artists, 1930). One Sheet (28" X 41").
Vaudeville and radio star Fannie Brice made very few screen appearances, but this musical comedy uses all her many talents with performance highlights of "When a Woman Loves a Man" and "Cookin' Breakfast for the One I Love," which she co-wrote with her then-husband, producer Billy Rose. Brice stars as the much put-upon girlfriend of boxer Robert Armstrong who takes matters into her own hands when Jerry decides to dump her for another woman (Gertrude Astor). The title of the film could be the motto for Brice's life -- and after a long and successful career in entertainment, Brice's comedic genius was portrayed in Barbra Streisand's hit Broadway play and film, Funny Girl. Prior to professional restoration, this sheet had tears in the right and left borders, three minor tack holes in the white background and one in the artwork, and a tear in Armstrong's hat. All of these issues have been restored and this colorful and rare stone litho shines in all its intended glory. Fine+ on Linen.
