Babe Comes Home (First National, 1927). Title Lobby Card (11" X 14").
Babe Ruth shines as minor league baseball star Babe Dugan. Dugan's a hit with the fans but not with long suffering laundress Anna Q. Nillson who is burdened with the task of removing tobacco stains from the slugger's uniform after every game. Curious as to how the uniform gets so messy, Nillson attends a game for a first hand view only to be hit in the eye by Babe's foul ball! This snafu quickly puts The Bambino behind in the count in the game of love, but he soon hits a home run right at Nillson's heart. This romantic comedy was Babe Ruth's second starring role after his successful turn in Headin' Home (1920) and lobby cards from the film are exceedingly rare. This title lobby card has a small tear at the right edge as well as minor staining at the top and left borders. There are minor bumps at the corners and a corner crease at the top left. Very Fine.
