The Suicide Club (Eiko Film, 1913). German Three Sheet (43" X 88").
This very early German short film is based loosely on Robert Louis Stevenson's series of short stories entitled "The Suicide Club," in which two gentlemen discover strange happenings at a secret society that they stumble upon one evening. One of the earliest adaptations of this mysterious tale, the film's title literally translates to "The Mysterious Club." The film is directed by and stars Austrian film maker Joseph Delmont. This striking large format German poster is a rare find and shows edge wear, fold wear, and crossfold separations. A truly unique stone litho gem from the early days of German film making. This poster was misdescribed in the catalog as an Austrian poster. Fine.
