The Big Trail (Fox, 1930). Lobby Card (11" X 14").
Many top collectors have spent years looking for the wonderful artwork lobby cards by noted portraitist Marion Jochimsen for John Wayne's first starring role in 1930. This romantic painting by Jochimsen captures the young Wayne and his costar Marguerite Churchill faithfully and has always been one of the most sought after cards in the set. Fortunately the studio chose a small imprint title credit to preserve the art. With the almost full bleed format, the cards look as much like original fine art paintings as possible. This terrific piece has corners with small bends, a tiny chip in the lower left corner, and some very minor edge tears in the left and right borders. We're sure this may be one of the few times you see this card. Fine+.
