All About Eve (20th Century Fox, 1950). Insert (14" X 36").
Eve (Anne Baxter) is a very calculating, back-stabbing, power hungry young woman who looks like an angel. When aging star Margo Channing (Bette Davis in a powerful performance) takes the budding actress under her wing, the fun begins. Celeste Holm, Gary Merrill, and Hugh Marlowe co-star as friends of Margo, who all get burned by Eve on her way to fame. When she reaches the top, Eve finds she is surrounded only by the cynical Addison DeWitt (George Sanders) and another fledgling actress (Barbara Bates) waiting to topple her. Marilyn Monroe makes an early appearance in a small role, and graces this classic insert. It shows pinholes in the top border, faint smudging, a tear in the bottom image area, small tears in the top border, a slight surface paper loss in the lower left corner, and a horizontal crease at the bottom.
