Gone with the Wind (MGM, 1939). Half Sheet (22" X 28").
This legendary film first had a 1939 "Roadshow" engagement at the larger theatres in the U.S. David O. Selznick then master-minded a 1940 "continued release" with the film being shown at every cinema across the US. He was clever enough to allay the fears the general public had, thinking they would only get to see a much shorter version than the three and one half hour "big theatre" version. All the posters promised..."Nothing Cut! Full Length!" Selznick even had snipes with this statement glued to posters left over from the roadshow outing. This beautiful half sheet has more of Armando Seguso's great artwork, and is a collage of four key scenes from the film. There won't be many chances at this style poster...don't miss it! Before paperbacking and restoration there was fold wear, small tears and chips in the borders, and abrasions in the art. The poster has been authenticated and graded by MP Grading and is accompanied with a certificate. Very Good on Paper.
