The Magnificent Ambersons (RKO, 1942). One Sheet (27" X 41").
The beautiful Norman Rockwell artwork for this magnificent one sheet makes it a very popular and rarely seen item. Director Orson Welles looks back at a bygone era with a mix of nostalgia and cynicism as he depicts the turn-of-the-century glory of the Amberson family which is on the decline, as unavoidable progress renders their lifestyle obsolete. Joseph Cotten, Dolores Costello, Anne Baxter, Richard Bennett, Tim Holt, and the indelible Agnes Moorehead star and are depicted in loving detail on this one sheet. It had pinholes in the corners, and two at the right edge, and crossfold separations, but after professional restoration these minor issues are no longer apparent. Very Fine on Linen.
