Tarantula (Universal International, 1955). British Quad (30" X 40").
One of the most fondly-remembered "big bug" radiation movies of the 1950s, Tarantula easily tapped into the arachnophobia of a whole generation of moviegoers. John Agar and Mara Corday are the romantic leads, and Clint Eastwood shows up in a small role. The special effects are generally quite effective, and the finale is pulse-pounding. This very rare and terrific British quad had one minor crossfold separation, which has been addressed with professional restoration. Get this giant spider while you can as they do not come around often! Very Fine+ on Linen.
