Edgar G. Ulmer directs this early, intriguing sci-fi about an alien visitor who lands on a remote Scottish island hoping to meet sympathetic humans to aid his planet which is in danger. Instead, his mind-control powers are exploited by the diabolical Dr. Mears (William Schallert) for his own greedy schemes, leading to disaster. Ulmer, best remembered for directing the horror classic The Black Cat (1934), does a fine job of creating a suspenseful atmosphere in this sci-fi cult favorite. This incredibly rare and spectacular poster, arguably the best piece on this title, has been restored to address creasing, some paint chipping within the image, a minor chip at the top edge, a few tears and edge wear.
