The War of the Worlds (Paramount, 1956). Italian 4 - Foglio (55" X 78").
The graphics on this rare and original Italian oversize poster are stunning. The Italian artist chose not to promote the American film stars, but to emphasize the horror of the film itself, that of attacking alien spaceships that are destroying entire cities. The garish colors and design turned heads in the mid 1950s in Italy, and they still do. The poster has been professionally linenbacked, but very little restoration or touch-up was needed. There were only pinholes in the borders. Very Fine+ on Linen.
