Description

Forbidden Planet (MGM, 1956). Six Sheet (81" X 81").
If you've waited for something spectacular, dramatic, unusual, incredibly rare, and simply beautiful...we've got it. It's an original unrestored six sheet for one of the most desired images in sci-fi/horror collecting, the stunning artwork of Robert Kinoshita's greatest career creation...Robby the Robot. Posters this size are far fewer in circulation than their more often used counterparts. Many were glued to outside building walls and sunfaded within just a few days. The color on this poster is excellent, as this copy was surely used indoors. This groundbreaking film with its terrific acting and directing, Shakespeare inspired script (The Tempest), its incredible special effects, and its unique (certainly one of the first) uses of an all-electronic music score, all made for one of the best science fiction films ever made. Here's a rare chance to obtain one of the finest pieces on the title. There are only pinholes in the corners and borders, slight fold wear with small tears, and minor crossfold separations, and some small tape stains in the corners where the credit panels were joined. Fine/Very Fine.
