Description
Horror of Dracula (Universal International, 1958). French Grande (47" X 63").Britain's Hammer Studios was the first to bring Bram Stocker's character, Count Dracula, to the screen in living, blood-red color. Peter Cushing and Christopher Lee were reteamed after Hammer's 1957 hit Curse of Frankenstein, and director Terence Fisher created what is arguably the best Dracula film that has been made in the past 80 years. Lee, as did Bela Lugosi almost three decades before, fashioned a horror icon vampire for a whole new generation of international movie audiences. This amazing and perhaps best poster for this horror classic is this French grande with artwork by Guy Gerard Noel, considered one of the greats in horror poster art. The poster has a large clean tear in the lower right within the image and a small "v" shaped piece missing in the lower right as well. There is minor fold wear and separations. Fine+.
