This psycho-sexual movie is one of producer Val Lewton's best films. He and director Jacques Tourneur got more horror out of shadows and suggestion than most costumed beastie efforts. The enigmatic Simone Simon is seductive on the left, but transformed into the fang-dripping panther on the right, as she stalks her rival, Jane Randolph. There are only corner pinholes, a small repaired hole above the tile, some minor surface abrasion in spots, small bends in the lower left and top right corners. This is a rarity we have only offered a few times in the past! Fine+.
