Fate arrives at Bette Davis' doorstep in the desolate Petrified Forest of Arizona when philosophical writer Leslie Howard and gangster Duke Mantee (Humphrey Bogart) find their way to her diner. Originally a hit Broadway production from playwright Robert E. Sherwood, both Howard and Bogart reprise their roles, resulting in one of the finest films of the decade. An early starring role for Bogart, it brought him much deserved attention, launching his legendary career. Offered here is a very special item, the only known copy of the style B half sheet, with spectacular color and portraits of the three major stars. Paper from this title is always scarce, and to find this iconic poster is an amazing treat. Prior to professional restoration, it had tears at the top and bottom edges, fold wear, pinholes, creases in the left border, and an area of missing paper at the right side of the top border.
