Vertigo (Paramount, 1958). Three Sheet (41" X 81").
One can only marvel at how masterful an image Saul Bass created in this seldom seen three sheet with artwork only used in a few pieces on the title. With little more than basic line drawings and a few spiral weaves, Bass successfully underscores James Stewart looking at the ground below him overcoming his acrophobia at the film's climax. They're at the tower of San Juan Bautista with the screaming of Kim Novak just before she falls to her death. It's an image as complex and erotic as the film itself. There are some tears in the top center into the credits and in the top left corner. The borders have a few tape stains and there are minor fold separations. This is an opportunity for a totally unique top Alfred Hitchcock collectible. Fine/Very Fine.
