RKO Exhibitor's Book (RKO, 1931-1932). (11" x 14") (54 pp.). This is a beautiful early exhibitor's book with some of the best 'pre-code' art we've ever seen. Fredric C. Madan's incredibly beautiful nude rendering of Dolores Del Rio in Bird of Paradise stands as a triumph of movie art. Madan's art is featured in many other double-page spreads throughout this great book. Other 'pre-code' standouts in this 54 page beauty include Should Wives Work, Slander Girl, and Exposed. Wheeler and Woolsey are here in a double-page spread for Girl Crazy. There are beautiful full-page paintings of Irene Dunne, Lily Damita, and Ina Claire. Also the popular "Mickey McGuire" series is ushered in with a fine cartoon art spread. There are scuffs and staining on the spine, and edge and surface wear on the front and back covers. The interior pages are in excellent shape. Very Fine.
