Description

Keeper of the Flame (MGM, 1942). Three Sheet (41" X 81") Style A. Drama. One of the classic collaborations between Spencer Tracy and Katharine Hepburn, this is the story of a journalist (Tracy) assigned to write the life story of a recently deceased national hero. As he delves deeper and deeper into the man's life, eventually assisted by his widow (Hepburn), he finds that the truth is far different than the man's public image. Directed by George Cukor. This fabulous three sheet had wrinkling in the top left corner, a small hole in the "L" of "Flame," paper loss in the center, at Hepburn's nose, in the lower right, and in Tracy's cheek, and a tear in the right border, but professional restoration has expertly addressed all these minor flaws, resulting in a very attractive, and very displayable, piece. Fine+ on Linen.
