Big Stakes (Clifford S. Elfelt, 1922). One Sheet (27" X 40.5"). Western.
Starring J.B. Warner, Elinor Fair, Les Bates, Willie Mae Carson, Hilliard Karr. Directed by Clifford S. Elfelt. This Western had a bit more interesting plot that usual. Great camera work and good humor had J. B. Warner in love with a Spanish senorita, and his life saved by a jumping bean...then leading the Mexican army to rescue a woman held by the Ku Klux Klan ! An unrestored poster that may be slightly brittle due to age, mild fold separations and foldwear, show some paper loss. It appears that the artwork was drawn too long to suit the exhibitor who wanted a larger credit imprint area. So the poster was trimmed, and the larger title piece pasted onto the artwork.
