Creature from the Black Lagoon (Universal International, 1954). One Sheet (27" X 41"). By far, the greatest "creature feature" of the 1950s was Universal's 3D classic, "The Creature from the Black Lagoon." The film was so popular that it would inspire two sequels, one of which was shot in 3D as well. Posters for the "Creature" are among the most sought after and collectible of the era. This one sheet features artwork different from any of the film's other posters. This one sheet had some tape on a few folds and right border on the backside which was removed, causing some paper thinning. This was all restored with no loss to paper or color on front of poster. After linenbacking, the poster appears quite nice with full, rich color. During restoration, the border had airbrushing. Fine/Very Fine on Linen.
