Greta Garbo gives one of her greatest performances as the Swedish Anna Christie, a woman with an unsavory past returning to her father's home only to fall in love with Irish sailor Matt Burke (Charles Bickford). Will her father (George F. Marion) and new beau forgive her her sins? Based on an Eugene O'Neill play, this was another huge success for Garbo. Her first talking picture, it was advertised with the famous line "Garbo Talks" and is an important film in the history of cinema. This incredible insert had only two enlarged pinholes in Garbo's name, two pinholes at the bottom corners, and a small chip in the right border. All of these issues have been corrected with professional restoration, leaving this beauty in excellent condition, and we are proud to offer this rare and very special insert for the first time.
