Producing the best of the horror genre, first with The Hunchback of Notre Dame and The Phantom of the Opera, Universal studios quickly set its sights on Bram Stoker's Dracula. With Tod Browning directing, a relatively unknown Hungarian actor, Bela Lugosi, was cast in the lead role, having already successfully played the vampire on Broadway. The result was one of the most iconic films in cinematic history and one of the top titles for poster collectors to own. This rare and very impressive jumbo lobby card features Count Dracula dominating his henchman Renfield (Dwight Frye) with the lovely Mina Harker (Helen Chandler) in a helpless trance. It is in extremely nice condition with only a few light creases, and minimal wear at the corners. Opportunities to obtain paper from this horror classic rarely come along and this beauty will be a star item in any serious collection. Very Fine.
