She Done Him Wrong (Paramount, 1933)
Lobby Card (11" X 14"). Mae West at her sexiest as ex-boyfriend Owen Moore tries to woo her back in this great scene card from "She Done Him Wrong". This is the film that most perfectly captured her personality and outlook on life. The songs in the film do a good job of showing that liberal attitude towards sexuality -- "A Guy What Takes His Time", "Frankie and Johnny" and "I Wonder Where My Easy Rider's Gone". A true original who slipped into self-parody only after the Hays Office forced it on her. This crisp clean card has a wonderful shot of Mae. Other than one small corner crease, slight edge toning and a small stain on one side, this is a beautiful card. Very Fine/Near Mint.

Randy Rides Alone (Monogram, 1934).
One Sheet (27" X 41"). This film begins with a haunting scene of John Wayne entering a deserted saloon filled with corpses. He's wrongly accused of, and then jailed for the murders he didn't commit. Love interest Sally Rogers knows he's innocent and manages to break him out. Fleeing the Sheriff, he locates the bad guy's secret hideout behind a waterfall. This film was definitely a cut above the standard B-Westerns of the day. There is fold line wear with a touch of paper loss, several tears, border wear with chips and pinholes and small holes. The poster has been professionally restored, rendering these defects hard to detect. This beautiful stone litho features a fantastic image of a young Duke setting astride a magnificent white stallion. Fine on Linen.
