Driftin' Thru (Pathe', 1926). One Sheet (27" X 41"). Harry Carey's movie career started in 1911 at the Bronx-based Biograph film company and continued through the late 1940s. He was one of the top cowboy stars of the silent era often under John Ford's direction. John Wayne idolized Carey from his days as a child seeing Carey on the screen. Always an audience favorite, Carey later accepted secondary roles in "A" features (he earned an Oscar nomination for his performance as the Vice President in Frank Capra's "Mr. Smith Goes to Washington"). This wonderful stone litho offers one of the very best images of Carey in his prime. Very Fine on Linen.
