Touch Of Evil (Universal International, 1958).
(30" X 40"). Orson Welles was black-balled as a director in Hollywood after the box office failures of "Citizen Kane" and "The Magnificent Ambersons," and was given very few opportunities to direct after that point in his career. This
film noir
masterpiece was directed 17 years after "Kane," and proved that the master filmmaker hadn't lost his touch. This poster has scattered pinholes, border tears, and a light stain on the upper right border. These minor imperfections do not distract, and the poster displays very well. Fine.

D.O.A. (United Artists, 1950).
One Sheet (27" X 41"). (NOTE: THE GRADE FOR THIS POSTER HAS BEEN CHANGED FROM CATALOG. IT HAS BEEN DOWNGRADED.) Told in flashback style, "D.O.A." is one of the definitive
film noirs
of the late 1940s, early 1950s era. Edmond O'Brien stars as vacationing CPA, Frank Bigelow, who ingests a deadly poison and is told by a doctor he only has a few hours to live. Frantically, Bigelow retraces his movements for the last 24 hours, trying to locate his murderer. The poster has significant fold line wear with some amount of paper loss in borders and corners, and small scattered holes. There has been a significant amount of restoration done to this sheet. This one sheet has been professionally restored, rendering these defects less noticeable. Good/Very Good on Linen.
