Vertigo (Paramount, 1958).
One Sheet (27" X 41"). Starring Jimmy Stewart and Kim Novak, this film is often heralded as one of director Alfred Hitchcock's finest. The unique artwork for this poster is the work of the late great Saul Bass who was the premier graphic designer of his time, best known for his work with directors Alfred Hitchcock, Otto Preminger, and Stanley Kubrick. Bass revolutionized the design of film title sequences, pioneering the use of animation techniques to achieve a range of emotional and psychological effects. The poster has small stains on the bottom border, a small area of stain on the edge of the top left corner, and one small tear on the bottom border. These defects do not distract from the overall eye-appeal of this gem; it displays very well. Very Fine.

Canary Murder Case (Paramount, 1929).
Window Card (14" X 22"). This stunning window card comes from the very early "talkie" which was the first in the Philco Vance detective thrillers. William Powell and Louise Brooks starred. The piece offered here has had some minor conservation work to clean off previous age foxing, and has been paper backed to correct a crease. The result is an incredible example of the period. Very Fine.

Rear Window (Paramount, 1954).
Half Sheet (22" X 28"). One of Alfred Hitchcock's best films took the subject of voyeurism to the extreme. Jimmy Stewart stars as a photographer, laid up after an accident in his apartment. With nothing to do, he begins to watch his neighbors out of his rear window. When he thinks he sees a murder, he feels it is up to him to expose the killer. Grace Kelly plays his bored accomplice looking for a thrill in this tension-laced epic. There are slight border imperfections; dings, chips and pinholes and the typical fold lines. The poster has been professionally and beautifully restored. Very Fine+ on Paper.

To Catch a Thief (Paramount, 1955).
One Sheet (27" X 41"). One of Hitchcock's classic suspense capers, set against the picturesque backdrop of the French Riviera, about a retired cat burglar trying to capture his imitator. This is Cary Grant and Grace Kelly's first and only pairing on the screen, and the sparks certainly fly. One unforgettable scene has Grant and Kelly making love in a plush hotel suite while a fireworks display suggestively erupts outside their window. There is separation at the crossfolds, light surface creases, pinholes and some soiling on the bottom border. Grant's figure looms out of the dark background and is silhouetted by the stark contrast of light on this poster classic. Very Fine-.

The Wrong Man (Warner Brothers, 1956)
Lobby Card #6 (11" X 14"). Here it is, Hitchcock fans. This is certainly one of the most collectible cards for any film made by Hitchcock because it's the only lobby card to ever feature the director. It was widely known that Hitch would make a cameo appearance in each of his films, so much so, that the director would try to get into his films as fast as possible so people would quit looking for him and pay attention to the story. This card has been professionally cleaned and had some very minimal repair done to the corners and a small tear on the right border. The card now appears near mint, however, due to the slight restoration, we'll call it Very Fine.

This exquisite Ercole Brini artwork has created what is considered by many collectors to be the best piece from the title. The Italian re-issue piece offered here has fold wear to the point that one of the panels has separated from the piece. The colors are different than the original release French piece but nevertheless retain the beauty of the original. Very Good/ Fine.

Rear Window (Paramount, 1954)
Lobby Card (11" X 14"). James Stewart, as a photographer recuperating from a leg injury, witnesses a murder across the courtyard of his apartment. Alfred Hitchcock's personal interest in people's psychological obsessions led him to use these handicaps as pivotal plot points in his films. In this case, Jimmy Stewart's voyeurism gets him involved in trying to solve the murder. This lobby card is one of the best in the set and features both Stewart and new-comer Grace Kelly in the scene. The card has the most minor creasing to the corners. Very Fine+.

North by Northwest (MGM, 1959).
Insert (14" X 36"). This is master-of-suspense Alfred Hitchcock's clever tale of an advertising executive (Cary Grant) who is mistaken for a dangerous international spy and is pursued cross country. The action, as we all know, culminates in a terror-ridden fight across the face of Mt. Rushmore. Movie lore suggests that the title refers to the Hamlet utterance from Act II Scene 2, "I am but mad. North-north-west ...". The Germans released it as, "The Invisible Third." This beautiful insert would be a welcome addition to any fan of Mr. Hitchcock. Very Fine on Paper.
