Liston vs Clay (20th Century Fox, 1964).
One Sheet (27" X 41"). Hardened criminal Sonny Liston was a big, powerful fighter who possessed a knock out punch with either hand. So dominating was Liston that many "experts" of the day felt he was unbeatable. Then came Cassius Clay, the brash loud-mouthed "Louisville Lip" who not only claimed he'd beat Liston, but also knock him out by the 8th round. Not many people gave the 7-1 underdog Clay a chance against the thunderous punches of the champ. Clay however, managed to dance around and avoid Liston's sledgehammer blows while landing lighting fast combinations. Liston, having been thoroughly whipped, quit after the 7th round and a new legend was born. This poster is for the theater-released replay of the fight. Near Mint.

Safe at Home (Columbia, 1962).
One Sheet (27" X 41"). This film was released in April of 1962 to take advantage of the new baseball season and the enthusiasm surrounding the New York Yankees' Mickey Mantle and Roger Maris. Their home run race during the 1961 season captured the attention of the media and the nation. They became the most terrifying tandem of power in the history of the game, combining for an unprecedented 115 home runs in one season. Both players are featured on this poster that would be a prize addition to any Baseball or Yankees fan collection! Near Mint on Linen.

Kill the Umpire (Columbia, 1950).
One Sheet (27" X 41"). This film stars William Bendix as a diehard baseball fan who hates umpires with a passion. He also doesn't think that his work should interfere with his passion for the game and soon finds himself unemployed. Bendix' father-in-law, who's an umpire himself, forces him to enroll in umpire school. Gradually Bendix learns to respect the new job and becomes a well liked and respected umpire, until he makes a call that goes against a popular pitcher. Now the tables are turned as he's forced to confront a ball park full of angry fans. This poster has a touch of separation at the lower fold line intersection, otherwise it's in excellent condition. Near Mint.
