Cocoanuts (Paramount, 1929).
Autographed Still (8" X 10"). Shelby Chapman was the sound mixer on the Marx Brothers' first film for Paramount, shot at their Long Island Studios in 1929. Offered here is a very rare autographed sepia toned still signed by all four brothers. It is inscribed at the top in Harpo's hand "The Best 'Chap' we know." Signed "Zeppo Marx," "How's the sound? Best Wishes, Groucho," "Ray Cozuie! Chico," and "Harpo." Rarely do photos appear that have all of the brothers signatures together as Zeppo left the team in their move to MGM in 1935. This may be one of the few existing photos if not only photo that was signed on the set of their first film. Accompanied by COA from PSA/DNA. The photo has had an area of two inches by two inches in Zeppo's and Groucho's waist and legs restored where there was slight surface damage. Fine-.

An Indian's Loyalty (Biograph Studios, R-1916).
One Sheet (27" X 41"). Lillian Gish, the first lady of the silent screen, is featured on this beautiful one sheet from a very early reissue of one of her earliest Biograph short films. Along with her sister Dorothy, Lillian Gish was signed to Biograph in 1912 by D.W. Griffith; she went on to make film history with her roles in "Birth of a Nation" and "Intolerance." This short film was Gish's twenty-third for Biograph, and it is listed in Griffith's filmography, though unconfirmed. Historians are not sure whether he directed this short, but it's clear he was in charge of its production. This is one of the most stunning silent posters we have ever seen. Very Fine- with some fold separation and minor clean tears.

Felix Cops the Prize (Winkler, 1925).
One Sheet (27" X 41"). Pat Sullivan, a New Jersey based early pioneer in animation, met a young artist named Otto Messmer in 1916 and put him to work creating animated cartoons such as the Charlie Chaplin animated series. In 1921 Sullivan signed a deal with M.J.Winkler to release his output of one Felix the Cat cartoon per month, a character which Messmer had developed for Sullivan at Paramount. What was developed over the next nine years became the most famous animated character of its day. Felix began a merchandising boom that would not be equaled until Mickey Mouse arrived on the scene. Sullivan chose not to produce sound cartoons in 1930 due to expense and Felix's popularity quickly died. Sullivan died in 1933 and with him Felix as well as Messmer's career. Felix was revamped briefly in the mid 1930s and later as a cartoon series in the early 1960s. Many great names in animation worked with Messner on Felix such as Bill Nolan of Krazy Kat fame and Al Eugster, Rudy Zamora and George Cannata. Felix was the greatest cartoon star of the 1920s and the posters from his shorts are especially rare. This great duo-tone stone litho one sheet is in nice condition with only minor border wear but does have four clean razor cuts above and below the upper and lower horizontal folds. These have been very lightly mended with archival tissue tape, otherwise this sheet is unrestored. Fine+.
