The Letter (Warner Brothers, 1940). One Sheet (27" X 40").
Somerset Maugham's play was brought to life on the big screen in this brilliant adaptation starring Bette Davis. In a riveting performance, Davis portrays Leslie Crosby, a murder committing wife of a plantation owner. A gorgeous portrait image of Davis is seen next to a haunting rendering of the actress holding a smoking gun on this one sheet. There is a 1" trim along the bottom border, not affecting studio or copyright information. Restoration has addressed paper loss in the left border, fold wear, and horizontal misfold. The poster now displays very well and will make a fine addition for fans of the illustrious Ms. Davis. Fine+ on Linen.
