Vintage, double weight, silver gelatin black and white original photo. Here is one of the most iconic photographs to ever come out of Hollywood - Bruno Bernard's famous shot from the "skirt blowing" scene in Seven Year Itch. Bernard had first met Monroe in 1946 when she was still Norma Jeane and took some pinup shots of her that wound up on several magazine covers. They became friends as he continued to photograph her over time which led to his taking this very famous photo nine years later. The still photography of this famous scene had not turned out well on location in New York, so a set was reconstructed in Hollywood where Bernard got this famous shot of Monroe is her diaphanous panties. This same image was later used and retouched for the Museum of Modern Art's tribute to Monroe. This beautiful and completely original photo has been professionally matted with the Bernard of Hollywood logo and is ready for framing. Only a few very tiny creases. Very Fine+.
